Be a guest in our lives, our traditions and our history, interlaced with that of the reindeer. In the summertime, we enjoy the midnight sun in Čorgas/Nordkyn where the coastal climate creates lush grazing areas for the reindeer. In the winter, the reindeer travel to colder and dryer plains in the inner parts of Finnmark, where you are warmly greeted if you happen to pass by.

The design of the wool blankets is inspired by traditional Sami patterns. The technique, colours and shapes convey our Sami traditions and history. It is part of our heritage and at Davvi Siida, we proudly take responsibility for passing it on to the next generation.

How we live
The reindeer migration is the fundamental element in how we live our lives as reindeer herders in Finnmark. We spend the winter in Deatnu/Tana, where the reindeer lead a great life on the slopes.
