We offer a course in making traditional Sami food, including methods of smoking reindeer meat. Here you can learn about different techniques for butchering a reindeer carcass, which joints work best for smoking, how to salt dried reindeer and other meats, choosing the right type of firewood, and the correct timing and temperature for creating the perfect smoked meats.

We base our courses around Sami culture, traditions, crafts, history, folklore, animals, nature and reindeer herding. We can also help you learn the Sami language.
